Sewing Box revival!
Bought this tatty sewing box from the flea market a few weeks ago, and decided to make it green! I also replaced all the screws with nice brass ones. I tried making my own chalk paint for this, as I couldn't find a small pot to buy. I used one part emulsion paint to 2 parts calcium carbonate (which is essentially chalk powder) and it worked pretty well I think! I did varnish it after to prevent scratches. Now I just have to find some stuff to put in it, shouldn't be too hard!

New A5 Vintage Style Screen Prints
I've been working for a while on these prints and finally they are
complete! I have 2 finished prints so far, a collection of 3 egg cups
and a little oil or vinegar jug, both in Hornsea Heirloom pattern. I
plan to add to the collection in time, with different items and
patterns.
These prints are available to buy now from my Etsy and Folksy shops at £11 each.

Retro kids book - I Know an Old Lady
Found this gem of a children's book last week on one of my many trips to village fayres. Some brilliant illustrations in it by Abner Graboff, was born in 1919, to two Russian immigrants living in New Jersey. I love his quirky pictures! The book was first published in 1961.
The Goat is looking suspicious
I love that she has a house in her tummy!
...and the horrified faces on the school bus!
