Owl collaged screen print - V&A museum paper
I've used my much loved Caslon Owl (see older post) design for some screen prints, some are screen printed with three colours. My favourite however are my collaged versions, where I made the body background design from various different paper stocks, and then I screen printed the Caslon bit (the letters which make up the body) in black paint on the top.
I'm really pleased with the results, I did four different versions with different papers so watch this space, more to come!

Type drawer wall art
I finally got round to refurbishing the type drawer that I bought a few weeks back (see Flea market finds post) and I think it's turned out rather well.
First I cleaned it with sugar soap to remove any grease and yucky stuff (there must have been lots because I almost suffocated from the fumes - I think it might have been the varnish!) after it was dry I had to give it quite a few coats of primer.
Following this I painted it with white eggshell paint, and cut out sections of coloured paper for each section, sticking them down with wallpaper paste. Next I drilled some holes and attached some brass hooks, and then it was finished :) a nice little project. Just need to find a few little objects o put in the sections!

Flea Market finds
I've never been to a Flea market before and today I went to the "Giant Flea Market" at Shepton Mallet. These are my finds, for some reason I like Hornsea Pottery lately, I think it may have a revival soon. Also got some strange medicine/lemonade bottles and a small type tray, which I think I'll be able to make nice again :)
