Art that's on my wall

I thought I would share my collection of screen prints and art with you, I intend to add more, up the the ceiling!

This is a greeting card by Freya art, she also does lovely screen prints and other products.

I bought this original print by Alice Hoult when I visited Pick me up Exhibition back in march, she has a whole circus series all of which are rather lovely.

This is my own creation, Mr Caslon owl, made from V&A museum papers and then screen printed. Similar ones are available in my Folksy shop now!

These lovely foiled postcards and the one on my wall is by Sanna Annukka, a Finnish illustrator and printmaker whose work I admire, I think I bought it from Paperchase.

The owl and tea cup stack original screen prints are by the lovely Peskimo, whom I met at Pick me up.

Finally is a greeting card by Darling Clementine, a Norwegian Duo who always come up with simple but brilliant characters, these ones are from "The Claudettes" range of cards and stationery.

Pick Me Up Exhibition Part 1

On Saturday I visited Pick Me Up, a Contemporary Graphic Art Fair at Somerset House in London. The exhibition runs until this sunday and is well worth a look if you're nearby!
The art fair featured mostly screen printed work, collage and illustration. It was a great place to get ideas and also buy some yummy prints for my house.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.

Jon McNaught has done some lovely nature inspired prints, and was featured in the Pick me up selects section.

Yoko Michishita was also featured in the Pick me up selects section of the show, She works mainly in pencil on these delicate drawings.
The next artists that caught my eye were Zim & Zou, a french duo who create beautiful creatures and three-dimensional artwork.

I was really looking forward to seeing some of my favourite artists, Peskimo. Here's one of their latest prints that they have on sale at the show, called Catnaps.

This is the Puck Studio section, who are a creative print studio from East London, they had a very creative stall area, which I managed to ruin by releasing one of the helium balloons by mistake! oops.

Owl collaged screen print - V&A museum paper

I've used my much loved Caslon Owl (see older post) design for some screen prints, some are screen printed with three colours. My favourite however are my collaged versions, where I made the body background design from various different paper stocks, and then I screen printed the Caslon bit (the letters which make up the body) in black paint on the top.

I'm really pleased with the results, I did four different versions with different papers so watch this space, more to come!
