Flea Market Finds

Today trip to the Flea market resulted in only a few little finds, but since I've decided to resist buying any more suitcases or type trays the usual buys were off limits! There were chairs galore today for some reason, but I don't really need any more of those. Also it has been a bitterly cold day so a lot of the stallholders were packing up at lunch time.

I got another green bottle to add to my collection, some numbers letterpress type for stamping onto price labels, a lovely old Christmas card and some Hornsea egg cups, which I am going to use to plant some tiny plants in.

Flea Market finds 2

I visited the Giant Flea Market again yesterday at Shepton Mallet, and these are my finds!

My favourite things are probably the old type blocks which I bought in my initials, also I got an ampersand and from a separate stall I bought a printing block of a pointing hand.

The platter and plates are "Woodbury" ceramics by Wedgwood, drawn by Victor Skellern in the late 1950s..

I also got some Hornsea "Heirloom" spice pots and small jug, and various old glass bottles. Very pleased with my little hoard.
